We had a visitor in town and decided to take our special guest to Morro Bay to see the Morro Rock, sea otters, seals and have some lunch at The Galley Seafood Grill & Bar


It's the ideal place to take a visitor because it is right on the bay with views of all of the above: Morro Rock, sea otters, seals and more. Morro Rock at Morro Bay in San Luis Obispo County

Morro Rock


An idyllic backdrop for Morro Bay, Morro Rock is the last of the (Nine Sisters) extinct volcanic peaks along Highway 1 from San Luis Obispo. This 576' tall landmark stands at the mouth of our harbor and is home to nesting Peregrine Falcons. The Morro Rock is huge.

You can't miss it and this volcanic plug attracts many tourists. There is a beachside right by the rock too and a trail that you can walk around alongside.

Free Kids Storytimes Schedule at the Libraries in San Luis Obispo County

Storytime schedule below are free at all the libraries locations in the San Luis Obispo County. They are typically only 30 minutes long, occasionally longer. If you can't make it to the times of the library closest to your home, you can always venture out a little bit and go to another time and day at another library. During the school year, there is a fuller story time schedule when school starts back again.
